I am so pleased to announce the THIRD in a series of new, highly collectible Echo Chernik masterworks. These works will be available exclusively on Kickstarter to my fans and collectors. The editions will be low, and will appreciate in value as their demand and popularity grows.

This piece, the third in the series, is CRANE. I am so in love with the majestic beautiful birds!  I intend this to be part of a large, collectible collection of beautiful winged women inspired by birds.

Hi!

i just returned from a tour across the country goingo to San Diego for Comic Con International, then Indianapolis for GenCon and finally Atlanta for DragonCon.

As usual, the shows and fans were amazing - but this year had to have topped them all. From the excitement of everything going on around us, to the massive fun we had with collectors, to the wonderful models and model shoots, to the incredible invitations to do personal appearances and signings, and to the wonderful clients who came out to meet me in person - this was absolutely the best season ever.

Thank you everyone - and if you missed me, keeping following because I still have a few appearance left this fall in the Pacific Northwest.

I am a traditionally trained artist - graduate of pratt institute, summa cum laude (presidents award for academic excellence). A traditional background in art focuses on skills such as drawing and painting as well as perspective and color theory. This allows me to translate the client's concept into whatever media best suits the job - therefore I am a very versatile artist, who is not limited by any one medium.

Thank you.

I start with a sketch, and then do a model shoot or collect reference. Then I do a drawing in graphite on vellum. From there, I scan it in and then paint in Photoshop and sometimes create elements in Illustrator and merged them in Photoshop. If I want special textures, I might find or create my own and scan them in to include in Photoshop. In my personal work, I will print out the piece as a Giclee onto canvas or art paper and then paint, varnish, and gild, on top of it.

Which class and where?
